Rrose

Hypnotic, experimental techno from Eaux founder Rrose.

Rrose is the project of interdisciplinary artist Seth Horvitz, whose work bridges academic electronic composition and the outer edges of contemporary techno. Informed by interests in microtonality and psychoacoustics, the project crafts a detailed, hallucinogenic sound that treats the dancefloor as a laboratory for sensory exploration. Rrose first gained prominence in 2011 with releases on the influential Sandwell District label, including the landmark track Waterfall. Since 2012, the artist has operated the Eaux imprint, serving as a primary home for solo material and collaborations with figures such as Bob Ostertag and Charlemagne Palestine. The project frequently interrogates identity and gender norms, often utilizing the name as a conceptual provocation.
