Based in Seattle, Sharlese Metcalf is a long-standing pillar of the Pacific Northwest electronic music community and a veteran host at the legendary radio station KEXP. Her DJ sets weave together electro, EBM, Italo, and techno, characterized by a dark and emotionally resonant aesthetic that prioritizes narrative flow over conventional peak-time tropes. Beyond her radio work, she is a resident of the secondnature collective and a founder of the event series False Prophet and Audiodrome. She has performed at international institutions including Tresor, Panorama Bar, and Nowadays, while maintaining a deep commitment to platforming underground and independent artists. Her work as a curator and selector stands out for its technical integrity and an encyclopedic approach to sound that bridges the gap between historical industrial roots and modern dancefloor experimentation.
