South Korean cosmic disco and dark disco with techno weight

Shubostar is a South Korean DJ and producer based in Germany, known for a cosmic disco sound she describes as dark disco, a disco base laced with techno weight and interstellar atmosphere. Immersed in the international underground for over a decade, she has released on Permanent Vacation, Eskimo Recordings, Internasjonal, Silhouette Music, Riotvan, NEIN Records, and Roam Recordings. In 2018 she launched her own label uju Records alongside Korean painter Daryung Kim, curating the cosmic and dark-disco artists she admires. Her sets move between glittering vintage disco and driving, hypnotic club tools, holding a distinctly otherworldly mood throughout. Shubostar has become one of the scene's most recognizable ambassadors for cosmic disco.
