Simic is the alias of New York City based producer and DJ Ben Block, a core member of the Seattle collective secondnature. His production work, frequently released through his own Accessory Records label, explores a cerebral intersection of house and techno characterized by rolling grooves, psychedelic textures, and intricate sound design. Signature releases include the 2017 EP Discussion of Interests on secondnature and the 2022 EP Changing Conditions on Accessory Records. He maintains a long standing residency with secondnature while performing regularly at New York venues such as Mansions and Signal.
