Simisola is a Brooklyn-based Nigerian DJ whose selections draw from the genre-defying ethos of black diasporic sound. Their sets are versatile and discerning, blending shimmery house, global bass, and deconstructed club with layers of textural percussion. As a co-founder of the ABEG NYC collective and the SLICK DOWN club night, they are dedicated to connecting queer African and QTPOC communities through music and event curation. They frequently perform at New York City venues such as Bossa Nova Civic Club and The Lot Radio, while maintaining a residency on 8Ball Radio. Simisola stands out as a vital connector in the underground scene, bridging cultural heritage with contemporary club experimentation.
