Haifa-born, New York City-based DJ and producer Sami Zreik, known as Simzii, bridges the gap between driving techno and dreamy progressive trance. His sound is characterized by hypnotic club rhythms, atmospheric synthesizers, and a distinct infusion of Arabic pop nostalgia. He made his studio debut with the two-track EP 'Yours Truly' on UK imprint PTD Records, while his track 'Hawalom' gained global traction after appearing on UMAY's 'Letters to a Future Palestine' compilation in 2024. A frequent presence in the Brooklyn underground, he regularly commands the decks at institutions like Bossa Nova Civic Club, Paragon, and Mood Ring alongside artists such as WTCHCRFT and 8ULENTINA. By seamlessly weaving Middle Eastern cultural touchstones into high-velocity club frameworks, Simzii stands out as a vital voice pushing trance into compelling new territories.
