Solofan is a Brooklyn based DJ and producer whose sound is shaped by his Egyptian upbringing, his time in Germany, and his deep immersion in the underground nightlife of New York City. As a resident at the Paris based Radio Flouka, where he hosts the show El Commodino, he crafts free form mixes that function as expansive, genre defying soundtracks. His club sets are intense and energetic, drawing from a wide palette that includes Tarab, Belgian EBM, Acid House, African polyrhythms, and Hardcore. He is a fixture in the experimental Bushwick scene, frequently performing at venues such as Nowadays, Jupiter Disco, and Bossa Nova Civic Club. His aesthetic is defined by a relentless, texture heavy approach that prioritizes rhythmic flow and emotional intensity.
