Son of Lee, also known as Sam Levison, is a Brooklyn, New York City based DJ and producer known for his genre-spanning sets and productions. A New York native, he has been active in the city's dance music underground for nearly a decade, holding residencies at venues such as Outer Heaven, Bossa Nova Civic Club, and Public Records. His sound blends deep, cosmic, and leftfield disco with house and funk influences, aiming for a groove-driven aesthetic. Levison has released music on labels including Rocksteady Disco, Dailysession Records, Disco Bizarre, and Toucan Sounds, with notable releases like a cosmic disco edit on Rocksteady Disco's "ABC Versions EP" in 2021 and a remix for Tyler Pope on Interference Pattern in 2020. He is committed to "the preservation of the motion of hips," delivering sets that are both eclectic and deeply danceable. His consistent presence in both local and international underground circuits establishes him as a discerning selector and producer.
