Vancouver, British Columbia-based producer and vocalist Sophia Stel crafts a genre-fluid blend of alternative pop, indie rock, and electronic music. Her sound merges lush synthesizers, breakbeats, and organic guitar textures with an ethereal vocal delivery, drawing equally from trip-hop and hyperpop influences. Stel gained early traction with her 2024 debut EP "Object Permanence" on Pack Records, which featured remixes from John Beltran and Vitesse X. She followed this with her 2025 sophomore EP "How to Win at Solitaire" and recently became the second artist to sign with the film studio imprint A24 Music. In 2026, she embarked on a headline tour with stops at London club Fabric and Manchester venue The White Hotel, alongside opening arena dates for Lorde at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. By anchoring her DIY club roots to striking pop songwriting, Stel continues to carve out a distinct and highly personal space within the modern electronic crossover landscape.
