Based in New Jersey, Todd Edwards is a foundational figure in the development of UK garage and speed garage. He pioneered a distinct production technique characterized by intricate, rhythmic vocal chops, rubbery basslines, and slapping percussion. His signature sound is captured on seminal releases such as Saved My Life from 1996 on i! Records and his 2001 album Odyssey released via i! Records. Beyond his solo work, he is widely recognized for his long standing creative partnership with Daft Punk, notably contributing to the track Face to Face. Edwards remains an influential force in electronic music, bridging the gap between American house sensibilities and the kinetic energy of the British club scene.
