Tornado Wallace is the primary alias of Berlin based producer and DJ Lewie Day, who originally emerged from the Melbourne dance scene. His production work traverses house, leftfield pop, ambient, and techno, often characterized by a warm, atmospheric, and percussive aesthetic. Key releases include the 2013 Desperate Pleasures EP on Beats In Space, the 2017 debut album Lonely Planet on Running Back, and the 2026 release Left At Sunset. Day maintains a consistent international touring schedule, performing at clubs like Berghain and Panorama Bar, while also contributing to collaborative projects such as Coober Pedy University Band and a.s.o. His music stands out for its ability to blend club functionality with evocative, melodic textures that bridge the gap between late night dancefloor energy and early morning reflection.
