Ultra is a New York City drum and bass producer, DJ and curator known for high-energy dancefloor sets threaded with hip hop and dubstep influences. Her edits flip classic New York rap records, including Mobb Deep's Shook Ones Pt 2 and Bahamadia's Uknowhowwedu, into drum and bass, and she also digs into 90s hip hop on vinyl. She owns Ultra DNB, an NYC event company and talent-buying operation known for inclusive bills with half female headliners, whose parties anchor bass programming at Brooklyn rooms like The Meadows. She has played The World of Drum and Bass NYC and supported UK drum and bass headliners Metrik and Grafix at The Brooklyn Monarch. As both performer and promoter she has become a central figure in New York's current drum and bass scene.
