Brooklyn based producer and DJ umru emerged from the internet music underground to become a defining architect of the hyperpop sound. Initially scouted by A. G. Cook for his work on the Charli XCX mixtape Pop 2, he established a signature style defined by maximalist sound design, intense bass, and deconstructed pop structures. His discography includes the debut EP search result released on PC Music in 2018, the 2022 EP comfort noise, and the 2025 EP Matter of Time on LuckyMe. He frequently collaborates with artists such as 100 gecs, Caroline Polachek, and Rebecca Black, while maintaining an active DJ career known for genre blending and high energy sets.
