Vladimir Ivkovic is a Serbian-born, Dusseldorf-based DJ regarded as one of the most singular selectors in club music. For years he has been a resident at Dusseldorf's Salon des Amateurs, the German institution that shaped a generation of leftfield electronic music, and he runs the acclaimed Offen Music label. His sets move slowly and unpredictably, weaving cosmic, EBM, electro, post-punk and experimental records into hypnotic long-form journeys rather than conventional dancefloor arcs. He has played landmark sessions for Boiler Room in Belgrade and appears regularly at Dekmantel and on NTS and Rinse. A vinyl-devoted digger, Ivkovic is a reference point for a whole strain of slow, genre-defying selection.
