Yazzus

Rave-influenced techno with attitude from Berlin's underground rising star.

Ghana born and London bred, Berlin based DJ and producer Yazzus crafts high energy electronic music that bridges disparate tempos and textures. Her sound draws heavily from 90s hardcore rave culture, ghettotech, and electro, often described as bitchy techno for its blend of attitude, sexiness, and playful defiance. She is a resident at the Berlin queer party Mala Junta and curates the Black Metropolis event series at Tresor, which highlights the Black origins of techno. Notable releases include her Black Metropolis EP on Tresor Records in 2022 and her rave ready EP on Steel City Dance Discs. Her work frequently incorporates afrofuturist themes, lush melodies, and hypnotic basslines designed to ignite dancefloors with both soul and precision.
