Lars Huismann

Techno

HEADLINER

Berlin based producer and DJ Lars Huismann began his techno journey in 2011, drawing on a formative background as a jazz and progressive metal drummer to inform his rhythmic approach. His production style centers on raw, groove driven techno that frequently incorporates tribal percussion, sharp synth patterns, and early 2000s aesthetic sensibilities. Notable releases include the Sounds From The Past trilogy on Mutual Rytm and the Mechanized EP on Monnom Black, both of which showcase his meticulous use of tape recording and hardware filtering. He maintains a consistent presence in the global club circuit, performing at venues like Tresor and appearing at international festivals. By blending classic techno foundations with complex, percussive drum patterns, he creates a sound that feels both nostalgic and contemporary. Huismann stands out for his ability to translate the physical instinct of a drummer into a precise, analogue driven techno language that prioritizes hypnotic momentum over simple peak time tropes.
