Originating from Chicago, Illinois, and now based in Los Angeles, California, Louis The Child is an electronic production duo composed of Robby Hauldren and Frederic Kennett. They operate primarily within the realms of electronic pop, future bass, and indie electronica, crafting a sound defined by bright synthesizer chords, dynamic vocal chops, and upbeat rhythmic structures. The pair gained widespread recognition with their 2015 breakout single "It's Strange," followed by the 2016 Icona Pop collaboration "Weekend" and the 2018 hit "Better Not" featuring Wafia, all of which saw release through Interscope Records. Their touring footprint includes major festival appearances at Coachella, Lollapalooza, and Bonnaroo, alongside a prominent residency at Zouk Nightclub in Las Vegas. In 2024, they released their third studio album, "The Sun Comes Up," and followed it with a string of 2026 singles including "i go hard" with BRUX. By consistently bridging accessible pop songwriting with inventive electronic production, Louis The Child remains a foundational act in the modern crossover dance music landscape.
