HANTI

Electronic

HANTI is a South Korean producer and creator primarily recognized for his contributions to the niche internet subculture of transport synthesis, or gyotong-hapseong. His work involves the intricate manipulation of public transit audio, including station announcements and train sounds, to construct rhythmic and melodic compositions. Operating largely within the digital sphere, he has released numerous projects on platforms like YouTube and SoundCloud that repurpose regional rail infrastructure into experimental electronic arrangements. His aesthetic is defined by a meticulous, technical approach to sound design that transforms mundane urban auditory environments into structured, often high-energy, digital artifacts. HANTI stands out as a dedicated practitioner of this specific, community-driven form of audio collage, demonstrating how localized, non-musical source material can be recontextualized into compelling electronic art.
