John Talabot

House

HEADLINER

John Talabot is a producer and DJ from Barcelona, Spain, and one of the defining voices of the city's modern electronic scene. He runs the influential Hivern Discs label and broke through with his 2012 debut album fIN on Permanent Vacation, a record of hazy, emotive house that reshaped expectations for the form. In 2013 he mixed an entry in the long running DJ-Kicks series and later formed Talaboman with Axel Boman. His DJ sets move through deep, melodic and Balearic house into hypnotic late night techno, favouring mood and patience over spectacle. He has played Boiler Room and festivals across Europe, and remains a reliable draw for dancers who want emotion in their electronic music. A set from Talabot rewards the long haul, building warmth and tension across hours rather than chasing quick peaks.

Chee Shimizu

Disco

Chee Shimizu is a DJ, producer, curator and record store owner who has shaped Tokyo's underground for more than three decades. He began DJing in the city's clubs in 1993 and later founded Organic Music, an online store launched in 2008 that became a celebrated physical shop in 2019. He is the author of Obscure Sound, an influential record guide to leftfield and experimental music, and led the DISCOSSESSION project that helped introduce cosmic and Italo disco to Japan. Known for a free form, listening focused approach, his sets drift through ambient, Balearic, cosmic disco and downtempo, prizing deep knowledge over dancefloor convention. He has played Boiler Room in Tokyo and holds a long running show on NTS Radio. Few selectors carry his combination of scholarship and feel behind the decks.

Analog Soul

House

Analog Soul is the collaborative project of identical twin sisters Jacquelyn and Kathryn Smith, also known as Jacky Sommer and DatKat. Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, the veteran duo relocated to New York City in the early 2000s and quickly embedded themselves in the local record store circuit. They established their voice with a long-running weekly show on East Village Radio, exploring the deeper and darker shades of house, techno, dub, and drum and bass. Today, Analog Soul holds a firm place in the New York underground, maintaining a monthly residency on The Lot Radio and frequently anchoring the booth at institutions like Nowadays, Public Records, and Basement. Known for their quiet authority and deep momentum, the sisters have brought their focused selections to international stages including Berghain, Honcho Campout, and Glastonbury.

Kim Anh

(3)

House

Kim Anh brings a deeply rooted house sensibility to queer underground nightlife, with sets that balance groove, sensuality, and real cultural context. Her sound draws from classic house and disco, but it does not feel nostalgic in a museum-piece way. There is usually a lot of sensuality, groove, and attitude in what she does, and that foundation is matched by a bigger cultural point of view shaped through parties like Booby Trap! and Tendencies, plus her work championing the queer and POC roots of dance music. As a producer and label head through Can U Not Talk Records, she reads as someone with both strong musical taste and real scene-building credibility, which is why she feels less like just another house DJ and more like a genuine nightlife force.
