Ali Berger

Techno

HEADLINER

Ali Berger is a Pittsburgh based producer and DJ whose work functions as a meticulous study of American house music history. He frequently utilizes live hardware sessions to craft tracks that bridge the gap between the soulful, gospel influenced deep house of the New Jersey tradition and the mechanical precision of Detroit techno. His discography includes the 2023 album DEDICATED on his own Trackland Acid Dealerships label, the 2019 Sump Pump EP for Spectral Sound, and the 2016 Firm Tracks release Phone Calls. Berger maintains a consistent presence in the North American club circuit, performing at venues such as Public Records in New York City and Hot Mass in Pittsburgh. His sound is defined by a balance of raw, squelchy acid lines, lush piano chords, and a deep, scholarly appreciation for the rhythmic contradictions of the early nineties. By treating production as a method acting exercise, Berger creates music that feels both historically informed and urgently alive on the dance floor.

Talker

Techno

Talker is a Chicago electronic duo formed in 2013 by Jonathan Krohn and Karl Meier, forged over a shared love of post-punk and machine music. Their early work landed on Karl O'Connor's esteemed Downwards imprint, including the debut LP Hari, and they run the Standards & Practices label as a home for their own gritty, dancefloor-aimed productions. Their sound moves between brutal techno, ambient, and noise, elegant and abrasive in equal measure. They remain a distinctive voice in the Chicago underground.
