Afro House

HEADLINER

Hailing from Johannesburg, South Africa, identical twin brothers Bandile and Banele Mbere have spent over a decade shaping the global trajectory of African dance music. The duo rose to prominence as architects of the New Age Kwaito movement before becoming primary ambassadors for the amapiano genre, which they helped propel to international stages including Coachella. Their signature Balcony Mix series serves as a vital platform for community and cultural storytelling, blending infectious rhythms with deep house and electronic textures. They have cultivated a vast collaborative network featuring artists such as Major Lazer, Black Coffee, and Jorja Smith, consistently bridging the gap between local South African sounds and global electronic circuits. By prioritizing organic chemistry and emotional resonance over fleeting trends, they have established themselves as essential figures in the evolution of modern African club music.
