Anané

Afro House

HEADLINER

Born in Cape Verde and based in New York City, Anané is a multifaceted artist, vocalist, and producer who has shaped the global Afro House landscape. She founded the influential Nulu Music and Nulu Electronic labels in 2009 and 2012, respectively, providing a platform for Afro-diasporic rhythms and electronic experimentation. Her signature sound blends soulful, live-orchestrated house with percussive Afro-tech elements, exemplified by releases such as her debut album Ananésworld (2010, Nervous Records) and the 2020 project Chapters of Becoming. Alongside her husband Louie Vega, she curates the long-running Sunset Ritual and The Ritual event brands, which have held residencies at major Ibiza venues like Ushuaïa and Club Chinois. Anané remains a vital figure in the underground scene, consistently bridging the gap between ancestral musical traditions and contemporary dancefloor energy.
