Jean d'Armes

House

Jean d'Armes is a New York City DJ and producer who builds sets around house and electro laced with baile funk, cumbia, disco, and Middle Eastern rhythms. He describes himself as a soldier without a homeland, fighting on the dance floor for world peace, a fitting frame for selections that move between languages and traditions. His output includes baile funk remixes and edits, among them a rework of Aguas de Marco and a Habibi edit, released through Bandcamp and SoundCloud. Rooted in New York's eclectic party circuit, he leans on global rhythms to keep a floor moving without settling into one lane.

Lord Fascinator

Electronic

Lord Fascinator is the DJ and stage project of Johnny Mackay, an Australian musician who relocated to New York City in 2010 after fronting the indie band Children Collide. In New York he learned to DJ at rooms like Elvis Guesthouse, developing an amorphous, genre-fluid sound that runs from cocktail-hour selections to late-night raves. His sets weave hazy guitars, psychedelia, disco, and left-field club music, and he has organized his selections into themed mixes spanning dinner, drinks, dancing, and daybreak. As a musician he has toured with Tame Impala and Pond and released the album Water Sign. A fixture of the New York underground, he treats the dance floor as a space for the unexpected.
