Word of Command

Techno

Word of Command is Daniel Leyva, a DJ and producer based between Brooklyn and Paris who works at the intersection of raw techno, EBM, and experimental club sound. In 2016 he founded FIST (Fun is Still Transgressive), a queer party built around hard techno and the visibility of communities of otherness, which now holds a residency at Basement in New York and has travelled internationally to Paris and Berlin. His sets fold acid, industrial, and hardcore textures into restless, collage-driven journeys shaped by his Cuban American upbringing and an early love of radio. He hosts a monthly Tekno Tuesday show on NTS Radio and runs the FIST label. A guiding figure in the US underground, he pairs abrasive energy with a playful, subversive streak that has helped make FIST one of New York's defining queer techno institutions.

Jubilee

House

Jubilee is one of those DJs who makes a lot more sense once you understand the full map she is drawing from. Her sound is not boxed into one neat lane because it comes out of South Florida club culture, New York bass music, and a deep love for UK underground styles all at once. You hear Miami bass, dancehall, grime, garage, breaks, dubstep, techno, and regional club music all colliding in a way that feels sharp rather than scattered. That is what makes her so respected: she is not chasing genre fluidity as a trend, she genuinely comes from a world where those sounds have always overlapped. Through her own productions, her Magic City platform, and her sets, she has built a reputation for connecting American club lineage with UK sounds in a way that feels physical, fun, and deeply informed. She is the kind of artist who can make a room feel raw, global, and very locked in without ever sounding like she is forcing eclecticism for the sake of it.

Connor Wrong
