Cosmic Gate

Trance

HEADLINER

Formed in Cologne, Germany, in 1999, the electronic music duo Cosmic Gate consists of producers Claus Terhoeven and Stefan Bossems. The pair initially gained prominence with hard trance anthems before evolving their sound toward a more expansive, melodic progressive trance aesthetic. Their discography includes eleven studio albums, featuring signature releases such as the seminal 2001 track Exploration of Space, the 2011 anthem Be Your Sound, and the more recent MOSAIIK project. They have collaborated with notable artists including Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, and Markus Schulz, while maintaining a consistent presence at major global festivals like Tomorrowland and EDC. Through their Wake Your Mind label and long-running radio show, they continue to shape the melodic trance landscape with a focus on emotive synth layers and driving, club-oriented production. Their enduring relevance stems from a successful transition from early hard-edged trance to a sophisticated, modern sound that bridges the gap between underground sensibilities and large-scale festival appeal.
