About

Author and DJ Andi Harriman plays The Cure's 1989 album Disintegration in full on Silence Please's hi-fi system, tied to the 33 1/3 series book about the record. The evening is built for close, detailed listening, the way the album's melancholy and texture were meant to be heard, loud and immersive. Harriman runs the SYNTHICIDE party and label and wrote a book on 1980s post-punk and goth. Copies of the book are available on site.

HEADLINER

Andi is a Brooklyn-based DJ/producer best known for founding SYNTHICIDE, the long-running NYC party and label. Rooted in EBM, new beat, Italo and 90s house, she brings tightly cut, all-vinyl sets built on muscular grooves and shadowy textures. Her production includes “End Program” on Dischi Autunno’s Intermezzo Tre alongside releases and edits tied to Mannequin, Aufnahme + Wiedergabe, and Mecanica. A resident at The Lot Radio and Bossa Nova Civic Club, she’s appeared at Panorama Bar, Ombra Festival, and Montreux Jazz Festival. Her editorial work and scholarship in post-punk and goth further shape a precise, body-music aesthetic aimed squarely at the floor.
