British producer Felix Clary Weatherall, known as Ross From Friends, emerged from the United Kingdom electronic scene with a sound defined by nostalgic, woozy synths and emotive, sample-heavy house production. He gained early recognition for his 2015 breakthrough track Talk to Me You will Understand, which helped define the lo-fi house aesthetic of the 2010s. Weatherall has since expanded his sonic palette on albums such as Family Portrait, released in 2018 on Brainfeeder, and the 2021 follow-up Tread, which incorporates elements of trip-hop and more polished, dancefloor-focused arrangements. He frequently performs with a three-piece live band featuring Jed Hampson and John Dunk, blending live instrumentation like guitar and saxophone with electronic sequences at festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, and Sonar. Recently, he has launched the Scarlet Tiger label and introduced the Bubble Love alias to explore more club-oriented productions.
