ÄGAPĒ is a New York-based electronic music platform, event series, and record label rooted in the city’s underground techno scene. Founded by Andres Daza, the project grew out of his early experience promoting electronic events in Colombia before he began throwing parties after moving to New York. ÄGAPĒ has become closely associated with techno’s harder and faster edges, spanning hard groove, hard techno, hypnotic techno, industrial, and trance while intentionally moving between different corners of the genre. Its parties emphasize powerful sound systems, high-energy dance floors, warehouse settings, and a no-frills approach that keeps the focus on the music and community. The brand has hosted artists including Luke Slater, Clara Cuvé, Kobosil, Somewhen, Vladimir Dubyshkin, and Adrián Mills across venues throughout Brooklyn. Its growth culminated in ÄGAPĒ Festival at Industry City, expanding the project from an underground party series into one of New York’s larger independent techno platforms.
