About
Genre-fluid Brooklyn DJ spinning soulful house, breaks, techno, & electro.
Brooklyn based DJ and interdisciplinary artist Honey Bun, born Samantha Taylor, draws from her New York roots and Texas upbringing to craft expansive, genre fluid sets. Her sound bridges soulful house, breaks, techno, and cosmic electro, often centering the interconnected sonic output of the global Black diaspora. As a resident at The Lot Radio, she hosts the monthly show BUNTOPIA, which serves as a platform for her explorative, future forward approach to dance music. She co founded the party series Soul Connection, a project dedicated to centering intergenerational Black femme DJs and cultivating inclusive dance floors across New York City venues like Nowadays and Good Room. Her ability to navigate diverse club environments, from intimate wine bars to major festival stages, establishes her as a versatile selector with a deep, omnivorous record collection. Honey Bun stands out for her commitment to building community through music, consistently creating spaces that prioritize both sonic depth and social connection.
