Klara Gizova, known professionally as koral, is a New York City-based selector whose rhythmic approach is deeply informed by her background in professional Latin and ballroom dance. Raised between Queens and an industrial city in the Czech Republic, she first discovered dance music through the underground techno scene in Prague. Today, her sound gravitates toward minimal and deep tech, seamlessly blending stripped-back grooves with soulful, percussive house edits. She is a regular fixture in the Brooklyn club circuit, recently playing at Good Room alongside 1morning and Very J, as well as appearing at Le Bain and Moondog Hifi. She also performs as half of the DJ duo Koral and Esthaus, hosting the Perkisets show on Hi-Note Radio. Rooted in a genuine connection to the local dance community, koral stands out as a dedicated curator who consistently builds expressive, movement-focused environments on the dance floor.
