Marco Carola is one of those artists where calling him just “tech house” misses the point. Even when he is playing tougher drums or more rolling house records, everything feels locked into that signature Carola pocket: sleek, hypnotic, percussive, and insanely functional on a dancefloor. He is also one of the clearest examples of an artist who bridged true underground credibility with global Ibiza-scale success, especially through Music On, which helped define an entire era of stripped-back, groove-heavy, VIP-friendly club culture. Whether people love that lane or think it got over-commercialized, Carola is still one of the central architects of it, and his influence on modern minimal-leaning tech house is impossible to deny.
