Marco Carola

Minimal / Deep Tech

Marco Carola is one of those artists where calling him just “tech house” misses the point. He came up out of Naples in the early ’90s and was a real part of that original Italian techno and minimal movement, but over time he evolved into something broader: a master of long-form groove. His sets are less about big moments and more about relentless control, tension, and flow. Even when he is playing tougher drums or more rolling house records, everything feels locked into that signature Carola pocket: sleek, hypnotic, percussive, and insanely functional on a dancefloor. He is also one of the clearest examples of an artist who bridged true underground credibility with global Ibiza-scale success, especially through Music On, which helped define an entire era of stripped-back, groove-heavy, VIP-friendly club culture. Whether people love that lane or think it got over-commercialized, Carola is still one of the central architects of it, and his influence on modern minimal-leaning tech house is impossible to deny.

He first gained traction with a 2022 release on Beeyou, followed by well-received tracks on labels such as neXup, UVAR, and FFRR. In 2025, his collaborative single "Can't Decide" alongside Max Dean and Luke Dean arrived on neXup Recz, reaching the UK Top 20 and earning a nomination for Best Track of the Year at the DJ Mag Awards UK.
