Nita Aviance is a New York City-based DJ and producer, originally from Rochester, New York, who emerged from the city's vibrant 1990s ballroom and vogue scene as a member of the legendary House of Aviance. She is recognized for her genre-bending approach, fluidly incorporating house, techno, disco, and experimental electronic sounds into her sets. Aviance holds residencies at notable New York venues like WESTGAY and co-hosts a monthly queer party at Brooklyn's Good Room as one half of The Carry Nation, alongside Will Automagic. Their collaborative releases include "This Bitch Is Alive" and "House Like This" on Batty Bass, while Aviance has also delivered official remixes for artists such as Beyoncé and the Scissor Sisters. Her recent work includes a contribution to Chinotto Records' Tarocco Singles Club No. 7, continuing her influence on global queer dance floors.
