vivaval is a Peruvian-American DJ based in Brooklyn, New York, playing hypnotic techno and hardgroove. Using long blends and elements like acid synths and Latin percussion, their sets reflect the cities they have lived in, from Lima and Miami to Oakland and Brooklyn. They appear on underground bills such as Village Hidden in Sound's Heavenly Delusion at Honey's. The result is dark, driving, acid-laced techno built for extended, immersive stretches.
