VTSS built her name on hard, fast, high-impact techno, but her world has always stretched far beyond one sound. Born Martyna Maja and shaped by Warsaw’s DIY underground, she started going to clubs young, later leaving law school to study sound engineering and throw herself fully into DJing and production. Her career accelerated after moving to Berlin, where explosive sets and early releases like *Identity Process* turned her into a fixture at clubs including Berghain and pushed her onto the international circuit. A later move to London opened the door to a more genre-fluid approach, pulling electro, trance, bass, breaks, pop, and harder rave sounds into the techno foundation she had become known for. Releases through Ninja Tune and Technicolour, including *Projections* and *Circulus Vitiosus*, also saw her move deeper into songwriting and vocals, expanding VTSS from a DJ project into a broader creative identity. Since then, she’s become a regular across major clubs and festivals worldwide while continuing to push into unexpected territory, with recent releases carrying that restless approach forward. Today, a VTSS set is fast, playful, unpredictable, and built for maximum impact—jumping between pounding techno, euphoric trance, electro, bass-heavy club music, and left-turn selections without losing the intensity that made her one of the standout names of her generation.
