A massive warehouse techno and house festival at the Brooklyn Navy Yard.

About

Time Warp returns to New York City for its ninth edition, taking over the Duggal Greenhouse and Agger Building at the Brooklyn Navy Yard. The German techno institution transforms the industrial waterfront into a massive two-floor warehouse space with its signature high-fidelity sound and lighting production. Friday night features a roster of global and local talent spanning techno, house, and hard dance. The lineup includes a back-to-back set from DJ Tennis and Red Axes, alongside performances by VTSS, Indira Paganotto, and Anetha. Local selectors like Annie Lew and Kilopatrah Jones join international acts such as Franky Rizardo and Silvie Loto to round out the programming.

DJ Tennis

House

DJ Tennis is one of those artists whose value to the scene goes way beyond just the records he plays. Before he was known as a DJ, Manfredi Romano was already deeply embedded in underground music as a promoter, manager, and the founder of Italy’s first booking agency devoted entirely to electronic music, which helps explain why his taste has always felt broader and more considered than that of a standard house-and-techno headliner. As a DJ and producer, he is usually associated with deep house, techno, and leftfield melodic club music, but the real signature is mood: warm, psychedelic, off-center, and often a little luxurious without ever feeling cheap. Through Life and Death, he also helped define a whole era of more emotional, indie-tinged, cosmopolitan house and techno, so his influence is as much curatorial as musical. What makes him so respected is that his sets feel like they come from someone with a genuine cultural point of view, not just someone trying to keep a dancefloor moving, which is why he still carries that rare mix of tastemaker credibility and global draw.

Red Axes

Red Axes

Indie Dance

Red Axes are the Tel Aviv duo Dori Sadovnik and Niv Arzi, and their whole appeal comes from how comfortably they blur the lines between club music and weirder band-born instincts. They came up playing together long before the Red Axes project, including in the post-punk and new wave band Red Cotton, and that background still shows in the music: you hear disco, house, psychedelic rock, post-punk, electro, and darker leftfield textures all colliding in a way that feels loose, trippy, and unmistakably their own. Rather than chasing clean genre purity, they make dance music that feels dusty, raw, and alive, often layering guitars, shadowy vocals, and odd little rhythmic turns into grooves that still work beautifully in a room. Through releases on labels like Crosstown Rebels and their own Garzen Records, plus appearances at places and festivals like Panorama Bar, Glastonbury, Coachella, and Dekmantel, they have built a reputation as one of the more distinctive acts in the global underground. What keeps Red Axes interesting is that their music always feels a little sideways, a little psychedelic, and a lot more personality-driven than most standard house and techno acts

Adiel

Adiel

Techno

Adiel has built her world around hypnotic techno, combining deep, tribal rhythms, atmospheric tension, and a raw sense of movement into sets that feel both immersive and physical. Born and raised in Rome, her path into electronic music began at the city’s legendary Goa Club, where she first entered the scene behind the scenes, handing out flyers, working as a promoter, and spending hours practicing in the empty club before eventually becoming a resident in 2013. Goa became her musical school, giving her the space to develop the patient, instinctive approach that would become central to her sound. In 2016, she launched Danza Tribale as an outlet for her own productions and a platform for deeper experimentation, gradually building a catalog and creative identity rooted in freedom rather than trends. From Rome, that momentum carried her onto international stages including Berghain, Fabric, DC-10, Dekmantel, Time Warp, and Awakenings, establishing her as one of Italy’s most distinctive techno exports. A committed vinyl DJ with a background in classical ballet, Adiel brings a particular sense of discipline and physicality to the booth, balancing precision with improvisation and an ability to stretch a dancefloor into darker, more psychedelic territory. Today, her sets move through hypnotic techno, tribal percussion, deep atmospheres, and rolling rhythms with an organic flow, intense enough for peak time, but always focused on creating a journey rather than simply chasing impact.
