Aurora Halal

Techno

HEADLINER

Aurora Halal is a producer, DJ, and visual artist based in Brooklyn who has fundamentally shaped the New York City underground through her Mutual Dreaming party series and the Sustain-Release festival. Her sound is rooted in psychedelic techno, deep acid, and electro, characterized by hardware live sets that balance hazy sensuality with metallic dancefloor intensity. She has issued a steady stream of acclaimed EPs on her own Mutual Dreaming Recordings, including "Passageway" in 2014, "Shapeshifter" in 2015, and "Liquiddity" in 2019, which featured a notable remix by Wata Igarashi. A resident at the New York City club Nowadays, she is also a regular fixture at international institutions like Berghain and the former De School, while frequently collaborating with artists such as DJ Nobu and Relaxer. Her sets prioritize long, luxurious blends that allow tracks to interact and build into deep, hypnotic states. By treating dance music as an arena for transformation and community building, Halal remains a vital architect of modern DIY club culture.
