Lane 8

Electronic

HEADLINER

Lane 8 sits in that rare space where melodic house actually feels intimate instead of formulaic. At his core, Daniel Goldstein makes and plays emotionally driven house and progressive-leaning dance music, but what separates him from a lot of artists in that world is the restraint. His records are warm, patient, and deeply melodic without tipping into cheesy, oversized “anthem” territory, and his sets tend to unfold more like long emotional arcs than peak-chasing DJ performances. A huge part of his identity is tied to This Never Happened, the label and phones-away event concept he created, which says a lot about how he sees dance music in the first place: less as content, more as connection and atmosphere. That ethos, along with his roots in Anjunadeep and the broader melodic house circuit, helped make him one of the defining names in the deeper, more reflective end of modern dance music.

Nicky Elisabeth

Progressive

Nicky Elisabeth sits in that melodic house and techno lane, but she is a lot more nuanced than the generic “afterlife-style” tag people throw around too easily. Her sound has a real sense of elegance and propulsion to it. You get hypnotic grooves, emotional synth work, and that polished late-night feel, but usually with enough tension and movement to keep it from drifting into background music. Coming out of the Netherlands and later aligning with spaces like De Marktkantine, plus labels like Kompakt and Anjunadeep, she developed in a part of the scene that values atmosphere and taste as much as pure dancefloor force. What makes her stand out is that her sets and productions tend to feel refined without losing warmth, landing somewhere between melodic techno, deep progressive, and more emotionally driven club music rather than one rigid lane.

Sultan + Shepard

Progressive

Sultan + Shepard, the Canadian duo of Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard, are melodic and progressive house veterans whose tracks blend emotive songwriting with club-ready energy. They began collaborating in 2002 after connecting in Montreal's DJ scene, launching their career through production and remix work, co-founding Harem Records, and delivering global hits like “Walls,” “In the Air,” and their Grammy-nominated remix of Bruno Mars' “Locked Out of Heaven.” As anchors of melodic dance—from Anjunadeep’s This Never Happened to headlining stages at Ultra and Tomorrowland—their DJ sets deliver polished, narrative-rich journeys between peaks and introspection.
