DJ Nobu

DJ Nobu

Techno

Originating from Chiba, Japan, DJ Nobu is a central figure in the global underground techno scene, known for his ability to craft singular, hypnotic sonic spaces. His career is anchored by his long-running party series Future Terror and his label Bitta, both of which have served as vital platforms for experimental and raw electronic music. Nobu draws from a diverse background in hardcore punk, which informs his rebellious, anti-commercial approach to production and DJing. His signature sound is characterized by industrial textures, deep spatial awareness, and a psychedelic, patient progression that avoids predictable club tropes. Notable releases include his 2012 EP Draw on Bitta and the 2026 introspective EP Shō on fabric Originals. He remains a revered selector whose sets prioritize a fluid, evolving journey over rigid genre adherence, cementing his status as a vital, influential force in contemporary dance music.

Kangding Ray

Kangding Ray

Techno

David Letellier, known as Kangding Ray, is a French electronic music producer based in Berlin who bridges the gap between avant-garde sound design and club-oriented techno. His work is characterized by meticulous textures, industrial-influenced rhythms, and a conceptual depth rooted in his background as an architect. Signature releases include his debut album Stabil (2006) on Raster-Noton, the club-focused EP Pruitt Igoe (2010), and the critically acclaimed album Ultrachroma (2022) on his own imprint, ara. He has collaborated with artists like Sigha under the Neon Chambers project and composed award-winning film scores. His sound consistently explores the intersection of digital precision and visceral, physical impact, making him a significant figure in contemporary experimental techno.

Auspex

Auspex

Techno

Based in Brooklyn, Auspex operates within the intersection of industrial, acid, and peak time techno. The artist maintains a consistent output of raw, hardware-driven productions that prioritize mechanical textures and relentless rhythmic propulsion. Notable releases include the 2023 EP on Soma Records and contributions to the Templum label catalog. Beyond studio work, Auspex is a fixture in the underground circuit, frequently appearing at key venues and events that champion high-intensity, warehouse-oriented sound design. The project is defined by a commitment to dark, uncompromising aesthetics that favor sonic density over melodic accessibility. Auspex remains a vital contributor to the contemporary techno landscape by bridging the gap between classic acid sensibilities and modern industrial soundscapes.
